Just wanted to pass along that Test Dummy's wife was admitted to the hospital a few days ago with a mystery ailment. She's been in ICU for the past 2 days while the doctors try to figure out what is wrong. Dehydrated and dangerously low blood pressure. A few T&P's tossed their way would be appreciated by our resident Test Dummy...
Hey, thanks. She turned a corner yesterday, and was discharged today. It was scary for a while, even more so because they still don't know what the hell caused it.
Glad to hear she's back home. Hopefully, the doctors will find what attacked her, give her timely treatments.
Been in California for the last 7 weeks and haven't checked in much, sorry to hear the news but glad to hear that it is getting better. My best wishes to you both. Skip.
Nope. Best guess is a nasty bacteria, but nothing showed in the cultures. Christmas Eve morning she had a headache, then she hurled, then got chills and laid down. A few hours of spewing out of both ends got her quickly dehydrated. Then a fever of 103°. At the ER while getting IV's, her BP was dropping to dangerous levels, 70/20, so we got an ambulance ride to ICU at 3am, where she spent a couple days. She's bouncing back, but still can't really eat much. Doctors say this may be one of those 'shrug' scenarios. They said that often happens. No need to keep trying to find out what's wrong when the patient starts getting better.
You should know by now how I would feel about his comments. I love them. I don't shy from reality, because what is realer than that? Nothing. However, it won't come back because she's on a strong dose antibiotics and will be for a few more days. See that, I used the word dose in the way it's supposed to be used.
