Vertical Garage Air Compressor Recommendations My 25-Year-Old, 10-Gallon Compressor is end of life. I want to go to a vertical compressor to save some space in the garage. Needs to be 110-120V unit. Don't need anything to extravagant plus I do not w=want to spend a bunch. What are you guys using?? For Example: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-2...IpqSa8IitNxdCJgDk6xoC9_4QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds OR https://www.lowesforpros.com/pd/Kob...e-Electric-Vertical-Air-Compressor/1001014062 OR https://www.harborfreight.com/air-t...e-vertical-shopauto-air-compressor-56403.html
Mine's 60 gallon and 220V, so I'm no help. I would like to increase storage capacity if I could. Edit: 60, not 80 gal.
[FLAME]I wonder if it's safe to remove the old compressor and turn the tank into a separate storage tank? [/FLAME]
I was considering buying one I came across on craigslist a while back....my concern is on the condition of the tank if it's not new.
Often times those oil-free compressors are real loud 'buzz bombs', unless they have the twin pump setup like the Lowes model. Check the DBA ratings.
I also have a 220v 60 gallon continuous duty 2 cyl compressor a little noisy I was able to quiet some of the renascence https://www.aircompressorsdirect.com/BelAire-216V-Air-Compressor/p4839.html this may work for you https://www.aircompressorsdirect.com/BelAire-2061V-Air-Compressor/p4786.html
I have a 60 gal Porter Cable , 220, it keeps up with high use sanders great ! I have seen most air compressors go bad from heat in small spaces. I put a clip fan on the head to keep it cooler. also keep it drained on bottom and thru gauge/hoses for less rust
