Joseph, I know that you are looking to kind of upgrading your wipers , I just stumbled on this some thing to think about. a single speed variable switch https://www.classicindustries.com/product/1965/ford/mustang/parts/17a553lr.html
Well ! yesterday I was able to figure out the wiring to eliminate the the foot washer pump and have the wipers work as it should. I now have a washer setup through the replaced wiper switch and full function After many attempts to jump wires in the harness plugs at the washer pump I could get the wipers to work but would not park, after many hours and a lack of a good wiring diagram of how the switch works I broke down and disassembled the switch. Man, was that a very simple switch (just like me) I was on the right track but but on the wrong rail line. After looking at the switch I found out that 2 sets of wires have to be bridged, I was only doing one set at a time. Note: All this is for a 2 speed wiper (different set up for 1 speed) Just connect the white/ green wire and white wire blue/black wire and blue wire these wires are at where the foot washer connects to the main dash harness consisting of a 3 pin and a 2 pin connector.
Hey, I tried ordering that for my '65 Ranchero and Classic told me it would not work for anything other than the mustang. Is that the case?
