We got our kicks..........

    On Rt 66.

    With such beautiful weather I talked the lovely Mrs 2beast into going for a ride in the Ranchero.

    We did a loop and drove a section of old route 66.

    Stopped at one of the old filling stations that is on the National Historic Register for a couple of pics and then stopped for lunch.

    I did have to promise to work on the bathroom remodel when we got back...........which I had planned any way :rolleyes:

    We got in about 80 miles and it felt good to get the truck out for the first drive of the season :)

    That's cool. One of these days, I have to post pics of a gas stop I made in the Idaho panhandle with my '79 next to '70s pumps.

    Sounds like a fun day! I drove mine to church Sunday evening, and that was the first time I had driven it since early November I guess. Your wife doesn't seem to mind riding in the Ranchero as much as mine does. Maybe it has something to do with the shade of green?;)

    Very cool photos! I will be takin the old 74 out tomorrow :) Crusin it to work ( 52 mile round trip). Great looking ranchero you have there.
