I am so very sad to hear this. I never met him, but on this forum I recognized him as a fountain of automotive knowledge and Ford performance history. Rest in peace friend.
Aww, crap. I met Hillbilly and his wife this summer when I stopped at their house. We yapped for quite a while, hell of a guy. Gonna miss his slant on things, as well as his wealth of information. So damn sorry to hear this. R.I.P. buddy. Andrew, when you talk to his wife again, please send my condolences. Thanks, Phil (with the white Falcon)
This is sad day for all. My condolences to the family. The interwebs tends to insulate us from a lot of things, but HB's passing has made me pause to reflect. We have lost another good one.
Klaus and I were so blessed to have met hillbilly in person last year. My heart is broken. He was a brother....I loved that man. We shared so many stories and I can tell you he was so prolific in his speech. He was so passionate about Ford's and more so this country. His aunt lived in Colorado and he many summers here. I will miss him here so much but I know one day we will be kicking dirt in heaven.
"Kickin` Dirt" and Talking Rancheros, Yes we will... Gone But Not Forgotten (still with us in memory)
SO sad to hear this!! Sending prayers and condolences to family and friends. I never got the opportunity to meet the man, but I held him in high regard due to his "online" demeanor and the common-sense knowledge that he would gift to all of us here. RIP Hillbilly, you will most certainly be missed!
I miss my friend Hillbilly.... Daily prayers for him and I believe he's with US... 1 Year tomorrow.... Rest in peace my friend.
Took a ride in Blue ranchero... remember riding around Tennessee with Hillbilly... Stomping on it and smiling he was surprised on the throttle body performance.... Was a good add on from Affordable fuel injection...in Connecticut....
