welding on a 79 ranchero frame

    [​IMG] So I need to weld on the front cross beam. The stablelizer bar that goes from the cross beam the to where ever was ripped from the cross beam. What is the minimum welding setup for arc welding on this cross beam. pics are from the front passenger side and rear passenger side of cross beam which is welded to the body frame.

    If you are asking this question, I would say (without trying to be insulting) that you should leave this particular repair to an experienced welder/fabricator. NOT for the novice.

    uh, looks like it needs more than just welding! Just trying to weld anything rusted isn't easy or very successful unless it's totally clean...take it from "Mr. Sputter"! :eek:

    Not to pile on, but the suspension component pictured is a strut, not the stabilizer bar.

    See reverse angle below. the strut is connected to the frame that goes all the way across to the other side.
