Any company that hires you will get their moneys worth. Best of luck on the search.

That's sort of poetic, and sad. What the hell did you do from 9 until 11:30? Take a long and luxurious dump on the clock?

  7. Another civet coffee reference, two in one day now.

I bet Carl could process more beans than a civet.
Maybe a good side occupation while pursuing other options?

  12. Slacking to the bitter end. I'd have done the same thing. Actually, I'd have left after the last drop was decanted.

I worked late my last day in Detroit to finish a project. Not because I cared that it got done, because I didn't. I did so because if I hadn't, it would have screwed my old co-workers over. I'm all about helping those in need. Probably my greatest asset. That and my humility. And striking manly good looks.

  15. The plant was shutting down, for good. He was screwing no one (likely a common thing with him). I'd have beat feet out of there, and possibly not even bothered going in at all. What were they going to do, fire him?

True. But, this is Carl. A man whose integrity is only matched by his girth. A guy who gives until it hurts, then wipes and flushes. This man, nay, myth, can't walk out on any job. Of course, you take away the all-you-can-eat pizza, he probably would have been home at 9 pm.
