Just bought a new Gibson SG Special. I'm a sucker for the SG design; best looking guitar design ever IMO. I own an original 1964 SG Junior (1 pickup), and this one is the next step up in the SG hierarchy. Uff Da! She's a beauty; look at those curves...

my lovely wife gifted me with the prettiest Starsky and Hutch striped guitar many moons ago on our 20th anniversary....unfortunately its a miserable pig to play.

Interesting guitar. Looks like a Fender Toronado body & headstock, with everything else Gibson LP style. Maybe it just needs a pro setup...

part of it is weight....mahogany I think ......it's like a cement brick and after 4 hours around your neck it kind of sux....My shoulders are full of bone spurs so I'm a wimp. The other problem is they went with the Gibson scale and I've held thinner baseball bats...yes..this is a Fender Gibson but they called it the Toronado GT. My girly hands prefer thin necks with 12 radius.

You just need an SG. As I get oder, I appreciate their lighter weight and also the shorter scale- easier stretch for the old fingers. My '64 SG Junior is under 6 lbs.

that's stunningly light!!!!!!!..... In a full band situation I play a cheap Kramer and an incredibly good Ibanez Talman. For beaters the necks are fantastic. I have an Acoustasonic I play for unplugged type stuff my cancer buddy and I are doing right now. ibanez-talman-standard-tm302pm-electric-guitar-red-sparkle-sku-number-tm302pmrsp.jpg

Picked up the body/neck as part of a bulk buy of parts. Threw it together with leftover parts. I think it was a kit, but everything was just a touch off, so I went with that. Plays nice, sounds okay.

Hey, maybe we should start a band. I am a drummer. Is "The Rancheros" being used? Frank S
