to my 1979 daily driver. I re-did all my previous body work on it, re-painted it and changed the interior. Then we drove back up home to Pa, and I gave it to our son. They had a baby in Aug. and Amy is going back to work, so he had to have a vehicle. Here's some pics of it after it was done.
For those that never saw it before, it was Burgandy with a silver roof and hood. Interior was burgandy and black. It still needs to be buffed out. The dual exhaust is from my 2002 Mustang GT. (Had to add a few feet of tubing for the extra length). Wheels are 17X8 96 Mustang with Perrilli 235/55X17 tires. In case your wondering, Dylan has been a diehard Yankee fan since he was about 6 or 7. Personnally, I hate the Yankees!!! .
Looks great! Yankee Pin-stripes look like a fun theme. Which of the herd is going to be your new ride or are you going in another direction?
Would you brlive it took me over 4 hours to pinstripe the hood? I started playing with the '73 today. The '73 squire has too much frame rot to do anything with, so it's just parts. The '78 GT will be next.
Yes, I would - first thing I learned about body/paint work is that there is nothing in body and paint that doesn't demand a lot of time - and every little oversight is there for all to see... Too bad about the frame rot in the '73 - I stripped out a '73 with a bad body but good frame and sent that to the crusher a couple of years ago. What are your plans for the '78 and what engine is in that one?
The 73 has a warmed over 302/C4 The 73 Squire has a good 351C/FMX and the 78 gets the built 460/C6. I also have a hood and tailgate with over 250 louvers cut in them. Caddillac tail lights and F250 Lariot leather seats.
Yea ~ uh!!! I like the Blue and white, and remember th Burgany/Silver too... I believe you done it justice... Way To Go Bob Hardie!!! Ya Done Good!!!
