The Mopar thing got me thinking of the greatest movie/TV car ever in my eyes "The General Lee" What is yours? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRX4mlFi06A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTFl1ZWdMgI http://www.insideline.com/features/the-resurrection-of-general-lee.html
The "Bullit" Mustang with FE power! It had the optional "multi-gear transmission" (LOL) and put the Dodge Charger in it's rightful place.
My time and place.. I just didn't have the car.. Well I did have a 33 cpe but it needed a lot of help
Well I was always impressed with Mitchm's '51 Ford in "Thunder Road": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunder_Road
Hard for me to pinpoint one specific car though I was partial to a black 57 Fairlane. Got too many to be picky so it's best to send ya'll to where you can see em'. ( http://www.reddirtrising.com )
As bad as I hate to admit it......probably the Challenger in 'Vanishing Point. If you like TV and Movie cars and you happen to be driving I-40 through west Tennessee, you might enjoy visiting Rusty's TV and Movie Car Museum operated by one of my friends. Most of the cars are just clones, but he does have a few cars that were actually used in movies....even if they are movies that most of us never saw, or even heard about. He does own a real right-side-drive XB Falcon but I'm not sure if it's in the museum or not. I know he was considering making a Mad Max clone out of it at one time but it was too nice to be butchered. I hope he didn't change his mind. I've offered to trade my Ranchero for it more than once.
Sorry, but the Starsky and Hutch Torino was only out-cheesed by the Night-Rider TransAm........but if those cars excite you, both of them are in the museum that I mentioned above. Oddly, the A-Team van is not in the museum. I hope that's not a deal-breaker for you.
Christine! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-WOUaBckzw High on my list of most desirable cars: a '57 Fury, black with the gold side trim, steering wheel has the flat on top. Car in the movie was a '58, not really a top model, but still damn nice.
The deal breaker was the location of that place. What do you think is the greatest TV car ever, Rockford's Firebird?
sean....What do you think is the greatest TV car ever, Rockford's Firebird? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Lt. Colombo's Peugeot
Hey, I said "if you happen to be driving through". I never even hinted that it was worth a special trip. I already named my favorite movie car. When it comes to TV cars, nothing great comes to mind, but on Bewitched they always drove nice Chevys (I remember late 60's Corvette and Camaro convertibles). Mannix always drove great cars, too, like a Barracuda convertible.
