Sometimes I neglect myself because I spend so much time helping others. It's not healthy being me.

You'll be rewarded with that attitude someday. You've got a nice, strong rollcage.

Hey Arie, what model are you looking for? My brother-in-law owns a car stereo shop and we're about to go online soon (no I'm not trying to spam you all with our business) so he may have the model you want in the shop.

Kenwood and Pioneer are still the big boys around here. Newer vehicles are becoming a pain to swap units in since they tie so much into the newer systems, so more people are making digital processors that go between the head units and amps/speakers. Favorites at this point are Hertz and Audison components if you have the money.

Nope, but I have to say that most of my experience is more in recording studio audio than car audio. Going in with my brother in law simply because I know web development, am willing to do it, and hopefully can make enough to do it full time. Didn't see Morel at CES, but there was a lot I didn't see there. I go to a lot of conventions at the Las Vegas Convention Center, but this was my first year to CES. By far the biggest. We were there for 4 days and I saw maybe a third of it. We were also focusing on working some deals with a few manufacturers, which ate up a tremendous amount of time. I'm seeing my brother in law on sunday and I'll ask him about it though. Since you guys have all been pretty helpful with all of my question on my 67 I'll probably create a special discount code for the ranchero community when we're up and running.

It's been a while, but I bought a stereo for one of my other cars, and it's a Kenwood (not totally stuck on that brand) that comes without a CD player. I don't really recall the last time I used the CD player in the car other than to simply see if it worked (I don't know why it wouldn't, it was new, but I question some of these new things). I wanted a bluetooth system for music and hands free communication. The device its self is half the size of the older one, and has (besides a CD player) more features, and cost about $80 less.

That car now has issues with the gearbox and it's AWD so I'm really not wanting to drive it more than I have to. Things have a way of going from bad, to worse, to awful; very quickly. If I want to install speakers in the kick panels; I would probably want to buy more specialised panels as installing a speaker in a very flexible material is really asking for problems. You can have sound which sounds good to most people from the back, but having a directed speaker will sound many times better. The only problem with the current arrangement for better kick panels is the parking brake. I would have to modify, or relocate it.

I also spend a ton of time in a studio, and I notice things many others don't.
