There's one on either side of the license plate on my 69. Well, I think there's supposed to be. I only have one. The other is missing. I googled bumper plug but didn't find it.

License plate lamp (light). Dunno where to find. Has a bulb inside to light the plate (for the convenience of the fuzz).

Nope, nada and no. At least when I search each of those sites for "license plate light" I get lots of lamps and different types of sockets and mounts but not this type.

I looked online as well... but I think they are in the paper catalog. Was going to look there as well, but it seems to have disappeared.

Might check CJPony and NPD as well.

If you don't need both lights, you could plug one with something like this:

I'm looking at the setup more closely now. I did not notice the was a lens on this plug until now. There is also a socket for it dangling from a wire on that side but not the other so my guess is it only had one light anyway.

I think beerbelly is on to something.

They were on a variety of Ford's from sometime in the '60's to sometime in the '70's. Station wagons, 'cheros, cars etc. NOS units go for stupid money and they pop up in the usual places. Using the letters and numbers stamped on them or "teardrop" sometimes helps the search. Fun trivia fact:they were used on the original GT 40's to light up the meatball/numbers on the doors.
I picked one up online locally, not perfect but serviceable. The chrome on them is a little thin, go easy if you restore one and try to polish it.
