Looking for complete, operational, steering column (with automatic shifter) for my '68 Ranchero (with 390 and C6 transmission), including neutral safety switch. (Don't need the steering wheel, but pretty much everything else right down to the rag joint.) Thanks!
A c6 trans it's on the column. I doubt you will ever find a good column for any 60s ford. The ford columns from the 60s 70s were shakey from new and had a habit of slipping out of park. That is the reason they usually have a sticker someplace on the interior telling you to set the emergency brake. I would try to adapt a new universal tilt column.
If you were to go with a new universal column, choose carefully. The are few vehicles I have worked on with those and some are not made that great. Can't recommend a brand because there have been no markings on any of them to ask questions or find parts. Good luck.
