I just joined this site. I have owned 2 Ranchero GT's in the past, Black 72 Q code and a Blue 76 460. I am ready to buy another one now. I want a 72-79 GT or 500. Q code 4 speed would be top of my list and 400/429/460 would be next. Prefer stock/original. Let me know what you have and what you want for it. Looking for someone that wants to sell at a fair price. My email is inxsbob@aol.com. Thank you
Have you looked at this one? http://www.ranchero.us/forum/index.php?threads/1979-1-2-special-edition.26139/ or this one... http://www.ranchero.us/forum/index.php?threads/1979-for-sale.25011/ There are several other members that have been attempting to sell good Rancheros here also.
A few thoughts to manage your expectations: 1- Not many of these are original in all respects, those that are will likely require some work to get them up to your standards. 2- The total overall cost of one that is in really good shape in comparison to getting a project up to really good shape is going to be very comparable. Meaning, it takes a lot of Rancherobuck$$$$ to get a solid car into good shape, one that has already had it done might actually cost you less in the near and long term. 3- Be patient - the right car will come along in time.
Have you seen this one? https://bend.craigslist.org/cto/d/powell-butte-ford-ranchero-gt/7072992561.html
7 hour drive down to see/drive it. It is rough, at least a 50 footer. Still looking, prefer one in Pacific Northwest. Thank You

Beautiful ride you have there! I agree first color matched one for me too! (except for my 79 but I did that one myself) really clean.
