Looking for one that can be a daily driver right now but may still need minor fix up items that could be done on weekends and after work. I'm in northern Utah. I'm check Craigslist in all 11 western states. Anything within a days drive (one way) will be considered. I'm open to 6 cyl or V8, manual or automatic. Prefer something closer to original than one with a lot of updates.

    Thank you!

I lived with a '65 for 4 years, it had the 200/c4. It was fine around town, then I started driving to Eureka once a week, 180 mile round trip, droning along got old fast.
If old is what you want the '60-65s are it, look for a V8 and power steering. The more I drive my '66, the less I miss the '65 and I loved it. Last week I drove to Redding, 250 miles one way, our connecter roads to I-5 suck, the '66 did well, just thinking about doing that in the '65 makes me tired.

    I have a 65 with a v8 and 4-spd---tall rear gears
is actually a pretty good ride.
Light and nimble----and if you keep with the stock front end alignment, power steering is not really necessary.

Oh----Hey Jim----I grew up in Idaho
Thought there were only 9 western states.
Any more than that is too damn far east!!
(for some reason Mont. & Wyo was never considered western--but they are)

Yep I currently live in So Texas-----also too danm far east.

What part of Idaho? My mom grew up in Minidoka county and by brother was a Nampa City cop until he died suddenly last year.

Reading from left to right on the map:
    1. Washington
    2. Oregon
    3. California
    4. Idaho
    5. Nevada
    6. Arizona
    7. Montana
    8. Utah
    9. Wyoming
    10. Colorado
    11. New Mexico

That's my search area. I guess I could expand into north TX in a pinch, but I'll more likely end up headed to California.

I have friends from Blackfoot. Some of them are still there! Also have a couple of cousins in Pocatello, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins in Minidoka county....the ancestral home.
