A few weeks ago I went to see my dad in VB and did a couple of chores for him (he's 80 with heart issues).
Anyway, I started asking him about his time in the navy, the boats and ships he served on and some of the stories he had. That was great and I want to hear much more before he passes. Well, today I started looking on youtube just to see.....what are the chances.....if there is any video of the subs he served on.
I just called him and asked if he served on the Bluegill around '62 and he said "yes, we actually came into port in Saigon". I asked him if it was 4-1-62. Yep.
    Here's my dad's boat, 4-1-62, Vietnam.

He was also on the Perch, the Segundo and another that I can't remember.
Just thought it was cool to find that for him.

I hope so. I think he enjoyed telling his tales. I've seen a book/journal that he can fill out about his life. Things he did, liked, etc. I'd really like to have something like that.
I also found a short video with the USS Perch around '62 that I sent him. I think he was on that one a few years later.
I'll give him a call tomorrow and see about some more info.
