Anyone know where I can purchase a set of the rubber bushings/grommets that are located on the bottom of the A/C receiver/dryer? They are located at the bottom on the mount.
The current ones are dry rotted and need to be replaced.
I tried Dearborn Classics AutoZone, and NAPA with negative results.
I might be able to fabricate something If I'm unable to locate a set.

AutoZone and AdvanceAutoParts both offer R-134 kits for around $16.00 Rancherobuck$$$ that contain all the 'O' rings you need for the converting (not that you are) - and these tend to be a little better for sealing than the old black ones. Get the kit without the oil.

Well then, I'll have to check with another AutoZone because the idiots that helped me told me that they don't stock anything.(Via telephone) I'll go online to see what they have.

I got a kit through Advance Auto Parts only as they were less expensive than AutoZone for the kit - the Part Number was 0133C and is manufactured by Proliance International Inc. A link to their catalog is:

http://www.pliii.com/catalog?searcher%5Byear%5D=1972&searcher%5Bmake%5D=FORD&searcher%5Bmodel%5D=RANCHERO&searcher%5Bengines%5D=&searcher%5Bpart_type%5D=&search_vehicles=SEARCH

Look about two-thirds down the page for the conversion kits.

Both Advance and AutoZone at one time carried the kits in three flavors - 0133A had PAG oil, 0133B had the ester oil, and 0133C has no oil and cost half as much. The kit's instructions indicates it is compatible with 1988 - 1963 Ford, Audi, Mercedes, Jeep among others and contains the 'O' rings and gaskets for a complete conversion, or in your case a complete upgrade of all your 'O' rings to less permeable seals.

Autozone and Advance may have stopped carrying the kits - don't know. But a quick search of the 'net revealed a lot of suppliers and I'm sure that you can find something suitable.

Dan, are you sure you're talking about the same thing that Lawman is? Maybe I'm missunderstanding but it doesn't sound like he's talking about O-rings.
