The tailgat "piece" consist of three pieces. Two pieces that bolt together to close the slot, and a finish piece on top of that.

Just checked, I have an extra 2pc filler assy. for the tailgate slot.

Sorry, but my son rightly suggested I shouldn't get rid of the extra set of moldings until mine were all on, should I either screw one up, or find that one of the pieces was in much better shape.
