Hello Louis from Holland. Geez that looks really great under the hood. The detail is awesome. I, for one , would love to see more. I just have this mental block when it comes to Rancheros being off the North American continent. I'm regularly amazed at the fine examples that show up around the world. Welcome to the group and please do show us more.

The car has been ready last year and I've haven't been driven it much.
This year is gonna be a serieus cruise year.
I haven't taken the time to take some pictures myself (shame)but I'm going to this friday when I'm gonna take it out and go for a dynosession.
Hopefully I can show you a few pictures of the whole car.
Thanks for the great reactions, especially from you guys overthere.
Louis
I like the color combo and the monster 460 would like to see the rest of your ride.

My 79 is very close to if not the same color (check out Dans other ranchero) and I love the look the T-bird front clip gives the car. Very nicley done! My hats off to you Louis! PS: I am thinking about putting a 77-79 front clip on my 79.

Will a T Bird 77-79 T Top set up work on a 77-79 Chero? Or is the roof line to short? It would be neat to see T Tops on a Chero. If they would fit I am sure you could weld in a roll bar or some support brackets for extra chassis stiffness. Anybody ever look into this?

very nice chero, tell me more about adapting the t-bird header panel to fit the ranchero hood please, l have been thinking about this conversion for a while, but like the "eyebrows" in the original hood, also correct me if l am wrong, it may be a 77 header, but the grille and headlight chrome is 79 right??? l was also thinking of t-bird fenders with the louvres just to be a little different, thanks colin
Very cool....more pics please!
John
As promissed a few more pictures.
Those are taken at the end of the day after the dynosession, there's a little shortage of sunlight.

For those interested I will take some pictures up close from the front-end,just let me now.
This is a short list of some specs:
Engine '72 460 with speed-pro 10.5 to 1 compr.030overbore.
stock crank,rods with ARP bolts.
stock heads with Manley big race valves, chevy BB dual springs, ports a little blended.Crane gold race rockers.Edelbrock performer rpm intake with Holley 750 dp.
Crane cam,specs:adv dur 298-300.dur@0.50:244-244.valvelift 556-563.lobesep 110.
Milodon deepsump oilpan with pickup.Hamburger HV oilpump.Weiand polished alu waterpump.Hooker supercomp headers.
Homemade stainless polished exhaust system ending just before rear-axle with flowmaster two chamber mufflers.
Furthermore it has a MSD pro-billet distributor with 6AL box.
Fuel is suplied from a Mallory 110 gph pump with comp filter.
Everything in the engine is weight out and balanced.
About the t-top,the roofline of the on its b-pillar goes one more straight where the Ranchero roofline bends down.Just compare the bends on the side-windows.The length of the t-top is to long to fit in.
The T-bird clip is less sharp in the middle and viewed from the front its flat from left to right.
I couldn't use the hood from the Bird so fitting the clip to the original hood was a must.
I had to cut out the middle of the clip because when trying to close the hood,it fell on it.It extends over it.
Also the chero hood has the eyebrows and is higher in the middle.
Filling this was done with a pot of Sikkens polyfibre, wich is used with hardener and works as a bodyfiller.
The clip itself will bolt directly onto the fenders without problem, but know that have to use some brackets from the T-bird clip to bolt to the radiatorframe. So if you're gonna look for a T-bird clip take all the brackets you see.
Furthermore take the airlines and the lightswitch and the vacuumpot wich is mounted inside the left fender.
The results of the dyno:457 hp,torgue could'nt be measured because of the to thick Taylor pro 409 wires and a software problem at that moment!
If one of you guys is interested in some more info or pics just let me now.
If the weather holds up this week I'll try to make some pictures of the underbody.
How do like my TDI (turbodiesel intercooled) emblems :D

Yikes!! I'm speechless. Is that flawless paint a tri-stage base-coat or a candy clear? It has the depth I'm seeking for my Mustang. By the way, those rims made me spill my pepsi!!! I likes alot.

First of all WOW!!! second.. how often do you drive that... and what are the gas rates in holland? it must cost a fortune to upkeep that!... also are the streets narrow there?... when I was in france, the streets would have been too narrow to even navigate that beastly crowd gathering hotrod of yours!... do you only drive it in the country?... it HAS to turn heads... maybe even stop traffic?
