just a guess, let the flatbed drive through the salt and snow rather than the chero??? ;) ;) ;)

Great looking 68! I understand the flatbed! You don't want that evil salt monster anywere near that sweet ride!!! When my 79 was painted 11 years ago I drove it home on April 4th and there was one of those freak snow squals that looked like a mini blizzard for about 20 min... Well, that was just enough for the salt trucks to come out and I was driving home!!! My ranchero (red garnet pearl) was so whitish grey from the 6 miles of road salt and getting stuck behind the damn salt truck that I was sick!! The paint was only two days old and after that snow about two hours later it rained and we saw no more snow for the rest of the season, but it left my ranchero bleeding white salt from the body seems for quite awhile!

POR-15 the undercarriadge if its not in a Climate Controlled garage. With the big temp swings and moisture it will still want to rust.
