Only retired people, and folks with nothing to do, have time to watch a 20 minute video. What's the Cliff Notes?

bernie calls himself a democratic socialist.
he wants to tax the wealthy, give free college to everyone and raise the minimum wage to $15 across the nation (or close to that). he models his platform to be that of denmark or sweden.
so that would mean higher taxes, probably a VAT tax, raise capital gains tax, regulate larger corporations. basically killing small businesses, killing entreprenuers, and driving a spike through the heart of the middle class that he "wants to fix"
he also wants free medical care for everyone. he says medical care is a right.

    is america ready for socialism?

Why do all that when Venezuela is just a plane ride away?

How exactly does regulating large corporations kill small business? Large corporations go out of their way to eliminate any competition which typically comes from small business. One of governments function is to regulate business. As for capital gains. Why shouldn't they be taxed consistent with how income is taxed?

Is it fair to small businesses that have to compete against big businesses, that have bought the politicians that give them unfair tax breaks?

Right Bob, Republicans are barely capable of finding their own butt with both their hands and a such we should put them in control again so we taxpayers can foot another bailout bill.

large corps pay both parties to keep their business alive. trump said that as well.
you would too if you had a large company.
i dont think its fair for certain tax breaks. but all politicians are purchased.
sometimes large companies cannot compete with small companies. that becomes a factor of economics and volume/niche markets.

I am well aware that both of our stupid political parties are corrupt, and have said so many times.
As for 'I would too if I had a big company', that's hard to say. If I wanted the tax breaks to help bring in new jobs and make new products, probably. I bet much of the money these corporations save through tax breaks go to ridiculous bonuses to the CEO's and back to the politicians that approved the tax breaks in the first place, thought. Gotta grease them palms.
