Owner of over 13 years Ranchero GT 1977 Ford, 351 Windsor 5.8 Liter which has a 350 CFM Holley 2 Barrel Model H2-2300 Carburetor and a 3 Speed (Small Case Cruise O Matic) FMX Transmission. It needs a little work, but it is mostly reliable. I come here when there is a problem I cannot figure out to ask questions as part of my research to try and make sure my machine is running smoothly. I don't know much, but I do know my Ranchero. I am an old Ford Enthusiast and I have been on the site since I was 19 years old. Mechanics are more of a Passion and Hobby for me. I started when I was 9 years old. Handing my dad tools and helping him work on his old 1969 Chevy C20, I learned what a 350 Short Block was and what a Turbo Hydromatic Transmission was. I have been hooked on mechanics. I bought my first Ranchero back in 2003 and I have had the same Ranchero ever since. It was my First Car and it is the only car I have ever owned. It is the same Ranchero, a Daily driver and has been reliable and very good to me over the years. My Ranchero "Collectively named Gloria" After a young child 6 years old at the time who died in the vehicle of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in 1982, in her memory. Her GrandFather named this Ranchero after her. The name has stayed the same, although there have been a few other nicknames for the vehicle. However let's not forget Gloria. :( This is a tragic Story.

The vehicle was left running with her in it and the father went into the grocery store leaving it running. What he failed to realize was that there was an exhaust leak which was causing the fumes to spill into the cab of the vehicle thus causing Gloria to suffocate. It is a very sad story. Never leave anyone who cannot help themselves alone unattended in a running vehicle.:(
