Some of the vette wagons looked pretty good, for a Chevy https://www.bing.com/images/search?...0AD76A68F9F5B3AD778DBC7974CCFF613&FORM=IQFRBA
I gotta say that the Mustang wagon looks pretty good and professionally done; I wonder if it was a Ford design exercise? Even cooler that it gets used.
Not Ford...but I believe if you do some research there was a company in California that made a couple dozen of these as conversions...
I'm sure Ford designers entertained the idea, but it was never ACTUALLY made by Ford. Imagine the regret. People pay BIG money for a conversion
The Mustang wagon was done in Italy back in 65 hoping Ford would have an interest but with Falcons and Fairlanes covering the market Ford said NO. Back in the late 70s a company in the LA area did the pickup conversions. I never heard how many were done. In 1978 I did a 66 Mustang coupe into a wagon similar to the Cumberford one in post #6. Still have it in my garage show ready if I had a mind to do so. The easy part was the body, making the interior look factory built was the work. I have never presented it as a prototype and the 67 Ford made never made it out of the design studio.
