Heh heh, took you long enough to respond! Soooooo...which mirrors are those? I really don't like the GT mirrors as they're too small to be effective. But Panther mirrors have a different footprint and angle for a Ranchero.

Dont remember what I pulled mirrors from.D5---- Maybe cougar/Tbird.I pre fit them, had to roll them almost on stem. They will be fine, anything is better than tear drop mirrors.Got rear view camera that I may or may not mount above rear window...

Doors are done! On to the rest before heat arrives.Tic tock..

Anyway, there's some mid-70s T-birds and Mark IVs at the collector yard. I'll have to look at them, see if their mountings match the Ranchero footprint.

"Footprint"is close to OE mirrors. These are designed to mount more on flat plane, not 45 degree.Got new mounting hardware and will make em work.Always in search of 72-76 of #1 wheel well trim if you come across a nice set in your travels.
Can you decode this production #?

Yeah, that's a no on any wheel well moldings. All the Rancheros are either redone/repainted without moldings, or they were all gone. I'm heading to the collector yard, remember, there is a '76 there, and I think there's a '73 Grand Torino 4-door, along with a few mark IV's, a couple T-birds, and a '78 Cougar.

I just had a thought, that died of loneliness...if the Grand Torino has well moldings, will those fit a Ranchero?

Fronts = probably. Rear likely need to be from a wagon.

The Ranchero rear wheel moldings only fit Rancheros 72-76, wagon rear moldings only fit wagons. and Grand Torino moldings only go down to the body line and cut across the sides to the other wheel opening.

GT torinos had two options on wheel/side moldings. The belt line trim no bueno on rancheros, could probably make rear trim work..
Note chrome side view mirror on black sport gt,looks ok.

I'll see what's there, take pics, get prices. Don't expect cheap, though, as these will be in the Collector yard.

I wonder what it'd look like if you were to modify a set to fit a Ranchero?
