Did an all day ride on Friday and came across a WWII submarine!
USS Silversides docked in Muskegon MI.
I wish I'd arrived earlier as it's an actual museum, snapped a pic anyway.

You might aughotta MAKE time to go back exploring...
Last year, whilst visiting Ann`s cousin, in Charleston, SC we visited Patriots Point and spent the day checking out the aircraft carrier museum...

    Thanks for the pics,

I went for a ride with my 81 year old mom on Saturday. Not too far, only about 50 miles or so and no place special, but she just loves it so much.

What with temps getting cooler, I`ll be riding MORE!!!

Just Can`t stand that 100 degrees in the shade!
That makes it 113 on the pavement, and that AIN`T Good for stopped traffic,

The trick is to head out before 9am. Plenty of good riding early in the day when its cool.

I had an Aprilia 750 V-twin, high strung and hot running, thankfully was liquid cooled. At certain engine temps a fan kicked in to help cool it down, usually while idling at stop lights.
You could feel the heat blowing onto your left leg when this happened, but the main source of discomfort was the 2 into 1 into 2 exhaust that ran up under the seat.
I hated traffic jams on that bike in hot weather LOL.
My Harley is air cooled and I can feel the heat radiating from the cooling fins at stop lights, but nothing like that little Aprilia.
I'm riding in today (2nd shift) the weather is perfect!

I took the safety class and got my endorsement a few years ago when I became an empty-nester but have yet to get a bike.

Prior to the class I hadn't been on a bike since I was about 12 on my brother's RM 80. I'm 51 now. If I take it up I'll have to start with beginner bike like those new Rebel 300 or 500's I think with the slip clutch and ABS.

    And a training wheel kit.........
