Afternoon all,so I managed to put 1,000 miles on the new engine in a very short time, but unfortunately it’s time to store it till the spring,my last cruise was yesterday,I filled it up,disconnected the battery, through the car cover on it ,it’s stored in a stable above freezing environment, should I put stabilizer in the tank?never have before and it starts right up in the spring,as always thanks for any thoughts or suggestions!
Nope, 93 octane, full as full can get, good to go like that. NO stabilizer needed. Hey, how's it run now?
Use it in my lawn equipment, generator and snow blower for out of season storage. Never used it in a car / truck.
Hey Phil,it runs great, did my best to keep it to 55,but boy it wants to go!the high stall tourqe convertor definitely takes some getting used to,wondering if I should have kept with the one I had, seems strange giving it gas and when the convertor catches it takes off!have to admit I did punch it once or twice!wife was with me of course and said should I plan on buying you new tires for Christmas?took it to a car show in ogunquit on October 23rd and people were impressed, first time I ever registered for a car show, one guy tried to buy it off me,said he was putting it on his bucket list!anyway thanks for your advise and hope all have a nice thanksgiving!
Honestly Phil I’m not sure,it was matched to the C6 tranny according to my builder,I have a text out to him, questions I should have asked if I knew what the heck I was talking about,I’m a building contractor, mechanically inclined but have to depend on people who know more than me when it comes to these kind of questions…
Well, I gotta say, there's not too much fun that can compare to a loose converter. It makes holeshots a blast.
