I have 3 or 4 spare blue lenses that you can experiment on. PM your TX address and I'll send them as your Christmas present.
I assume it's 10/$6.49? Those look a lot better than the circuit board ones I have now, and a bit cheaper by a few bucks.
Ah, there is a bracket, #045056. The bracket on the right, it's #045D56. So, anyone have that #045056 part?
I am, but because I'm heading to Washington State on Tuesday, I'll have to wait till next weekend to send the cash for it.
I'll ship it to your TX address on Monday along with an envelope. Safe trip back and forth. Apologies to the OP for hijacking this thread.
Looking over this printed circuit board, I'm wondering how the emergency "brake" warning light works. The light socket is connected to two paths on the circuit board but neither go to ground, at least not the ground used by the instrument lighting. Any ideas for this?
The circuit is grounded by either the switch on the p-brake assembly, or the warning switch atop the prop valve. So the wiring is just in and out, no ground at the cluster.
Handy Andy is right on. The +12V is constant, the ground is switched. There is also a feed from the ignition switch "Start" position which acts as a bulb check.
I got a surprise this afternoon...my tach decided to not work for a minute when I fired Babe up. I'll have to look at the connections.
