I am changing to a 4 spd toploader and would like to find an original manual steering column.

No shift collar on the column.

Not interested in after market columns....

you do know that the column is part of the steering box, right? They are one piece. How about just changing the collar? way easier and cheaper.

pmrphil - thanks for the reply.
I do understand that they are an integrated piece, I was trying to get rid of all the auto shifter parts from the column itself.

Having said that do you know if I can rebuild the column and delete the auto shifter arms and associated parts when I reassemble the column.....

Don't even have to take the column out, disconnect at the bottom, and just change the collar - no need to remove the tube. If you wanted to cut the arm off at the bottom, so be it.

The column collar flange on 65 - 66 mustang should be the same as falcon.
    It's smooth with no shifter.
A mustang supply probably has them new and tell you if it fits.
