Is this real?
It's pretty amazing, real factory-quality looking.
I wonder if it's this car with a repaint? There can't be too many of these, and this listing has a better description:
Lincolns and Cadillacs like these are flower cars used by mortuaries for funerals. Now days they use mini vans. They were built by the same companies that built the hearses.
This guy also says it is a concept and the only one made. I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same car.
When they say "concept" do you think they're saying that it was a factory concept car? If it was a factory concept car, why would it have been done in Texas and not in Detroit?
Thank you 1979 RANCHERO GT. That seems to clear things up.
Thanks 1979 RANCHERO GT. That clears it up for me.
Still think it is pretty cool as Rancheros go...
Quite a few years ago a fellow named Champion owned two of those. He owned a Gulf gas station in Decherd, TN. where he kept them parked behind the station. They were light blue with white roofs. Neither had tailgates. One hot night a grass fire took both Lincolns and the gas station out. Huge fire when the station's tanks went up. Sad memory from when I was younger.
