Thinking about picking up a 68 falcon. The car has a 6 cylinder, I am assuming that for this year there were 4 lug rims and suspension for the 6 and 5 for the 8 cylinder. I haven't looked at the car yet only pictures and they are not that great. I know little about these years, I assume they are the same as a Ranchero?

    Thanks,

Pretty much so; the Falcon is the base model, and the Torino and Ranchero are the upscale models. Does this Falcon have a 3-on-the-tree?

Yes it does and a 200 six. Do you know if 1st gear was synchronized the 68 model 3 speeds? I hate that non synchronized 1st tranny. My ranchero had that.

Anyone know what areas have rust issues on the 68?

According to my Chilton's 1975 manual, only the 3.03 trans was offered in '68, it was fully synchronized and the trans code was "1."
