Driving home from work yesterday in the Ranchero, I finally spotted
that other red 65 that lives not too far from me.
(I live out in the boonies so "Not too far" is a relative term)

Anyway, did a quick u-turn to get a pic of both of the 65s together and the silly camera in the phone would not cooperate.

Seen this car in a few places out near where I live and once in town.

Pulled into the little Mexican Food Diner and parked next to it to get the shots that failed and two guys
came out scratching hteir heads---"Wow---what are the chances of 2 of these being in the same place at the same time???"

The owner was pretty cool---he had heard about a blue one running around the area but never got a good look at it. He did notice it once but thought it was a pass thru car because of the California personalized plate on the front.

His was purchased from the original owner about 10 years ago and he also uses it for runabout stuff.
original v8 still in the car but he did change the rear end some time ago. (mine has been in the family since new)

pretty much an unrestored original with maybe a 15yo paint job.

He also has a 67 390GT Mustang convert that he bought when he was a teen---he's looking to get that one restored here pretty soon.

Thanks for posting.:) Seeing another Ranchero and talking with him is a rare event for me. I only had a chance once when driving the Ranchero,. Several times i have seen ones when driving the old Tundra but never stopped them to chat.
