Hi! I need another rear end for my 72 GT.
Does anyone know what rear ends will interchange?
I found a 68 with a 9" posi (please spare me the call it something else) but that year uses leaf springs.
My 72 came from the factory with coil rear springs & a 8.8" or 8"
I'm looking for a 9" that takes coil springs.
Anyone know what years came with coil rear springs?
    Thanks in advance.

    72-76 Torinos
77-79 LTD II, Thunderbird and Lincoln MK's

Thats the bulk of the fords that used 4-link rear with coils.

There is a couple of years of COugar and Montegos that will also work, not certain on those.

The 9" I put in my '72 was from a '74 Torino, the only problem I had was when I got to doing the brakes, it had the 10" x 2.5" non-police package rear brakes and had trouble finding parts, the rest were all 11" x 2".

72-76 Montego and 72-79 Cougar will work.
