Custom console ideas

    Has anyone here built a console from scratch? If so, can you post some pics of your layout?

    I have a 1973 Ranchero with original buckets, but no console. I have started building one with a cardboard template. I would just like too see some examples of other's work before I try re-inventing the wheel.

    Best match to OE console I have found rooting though yards are late 90s explorers.They have flip back armrest that you can delete if you like and plate
    the opening.Cup holder is always a bonus!Some models have two.I went with MK7 center in my 73 cuz floor shifter was correct for AOD and was easy install.
    Kinda fugly,but will eventually swap in OE style center unit.
