Does anyone know if the door hinges on a 70 are interchangeable with a 78 specifically the drivers-side lower hinge? They look almost identical. Are the "S" springs interchangeable passenger to drivers side? I just need the "S" spring since mine broke. Thanks!
You didn't specify if your vehicle is a 70 or a 78. If yours is a 70, I can't help. The door hinges interchange 72 thru 79 and side to side (upper and lower different). The "S spring" you refer to is called a "check" by Ford. Part number is D8BZ-5422886-A. Green Sales Company shows 22 in stock. If you decide to pull one from the yard, get the passenger side, since passenger doors are cycled (opened and closed) far less often than driver doors.
