Actually, I've owned it since stim #3 came. It's a 1989 Merc Colony Park, a bit over 100K on it, and it has had the header panel, grille and headlamps replaced, and she's fixing to get a replacement engine for the rattling she makes, but overall, a very nice-driving, stable, otherwise straight car. You gonna cut the top off to turn it into a Colony Parkero?

    I like it.
Wish I still had my 67 Fairlane wagon. Great cars.

I should look to see if anyone has posted pics of the Panther Ranchero that Ford had built, in case they had continued Ranchero production.

And, I had an '83 so many years ago; I've hauled stuff in it like it was a Ranchero, including a Ford 400 truck engine.

How would I word my Google search to seek out that particular vehicle? I put "1980 Ford ranchero prototype images" in, and nothing came up but all older Rancheros. Except a cut-down 1980 Country Ranch wagon on BaT.

    Try using the word "prototype".

There is a 92 Crown Vic conversion for sale on Jalopnic. Might try looking there.

It already has factory rear air ride....

It may get tint. But no, I don't have money for such goodies.

We're ready to stab it back in, but with the bumper on, it's gonna be a reach to mate it to the trans. Farking HF, it's the 2-ton, but they couldn't put another six inches on the boom without compromising safety?

Got it back together, flushed the cooling system and running, but the power steering pressure hose developed a leak, so, new hose tomorrow. And pics when it's light.

You do realize just how rare and desirable that wagon is ? Treat it nice as it is a part of history now.
