Looks sad and negelected jus sttin there..
Welcome back. You gotta get that Ranchero on the road soon. Bryan almost has his running. It may already be, haven't talked to him in awhile.
Pretty crazy but I believe we're the only ones in San Antonio with Rancheros or maybe nobody else wants to admit it
If you need anything give me a holler.
congrats on the new things in life.
good decisions has it rewards.
Almost ready to start.---still have one piece to get welded back in before I start putting the car back together.
Not doing any body work yet but geting the important stuff done
Will paint the interior tho.
Disc brakes are installed
still need to install the new wiring harness and get my dash trim re-chromed
Installing the Vintage AC made for some interesting heater hose routings
Serpentine belt drive from a 96 F-150---had to make some modifications to the brackets so they would work.
Hopefully drivable by May
I've been a bit busy as well with work travel----the 66 Elky has not seen daylight since May 25 and the 59 Elky got home from the Hot Rod Power Tour and has not moved since the second week of June. Weather is coming around so the 66 might get out for some commuter duty soon (at my spouse's suggestion)
Hey Bryan its not good to let those toys lay around!
Thanks for the welcome back and. Congrats. Looks like you've been busy Bryan! Can't wait to see your ranchero on the road.
I re-registered the 66 last September----lost the sticker---just realized it this week when I looked at the back of the car.
Will be going to the tax office very soon to get a duplicate
Well here it is some time later again. Staying busy with work and the little one. But we pulled the 66 out and got her moved to my pop's garage. Gave her a much needed bath and put a piece of hood trim on that I found at john's salvage. It needed a little tweaking but its a nice fit. Was also able to find 1 brake light lens and 2 reverse light lenses. Still need to paint hood trim. But wanted to "form " it first.
Hey there Victor. Good to see some more progress
Good old Johns Salvage! Havent had to go over there in a while. Found my grill over there. Just gotta get lucky
Nice looking '66! I love the black out treatment on the motor, trim, grill, etc. Glad to see that you are able to work on it again.
I was begiining to wonder about you---have not heard much in quite some time
Seems my body shop guys have convinced me to go ahead and paint the car
(only had about 10 pieces of trim to get off--so why not??)
Actually fired it up a couple of weeks ago----sounds great.
Wiring is in
Dash parts rechromed and interior metal repainted back to original.
Accumulation of boxes at my house (much to her disdain), but I think I just about have everything I need.
So---we are down to paint prep, paint & reassemble
Might be moving about on it's own by December.
awesome! Can't wait to see the finished product. Yeah finally going to be able to get more work done on mine. I painted all the emblems and badges. I'll take some pics and post them in a few. If I don't make it to the coast this weekend ill see about getting some work done on her. Long weekend for me maybe I can do both!
Hey there Victor. Lets get that cruise in goin!
I hear that Eddie!
