Replacing the carpet: but found this under the original carpet, passenger side: Probably where the rusted out channel under the rear window was draining behind the seat. All has been cut out and new formed metal welded in and treated to prevent new rust. Got to admit, Jeff the body man is good and meticulous.
Got to admit, Jeff the body man is good and meticulous. UNQuote............................. I do believe you`ve got a good one, fer sure!!! Each step you take makes your Ranchero, "That much Better!!!" You`ll be a PROUD PAPPY when it`s all done, stick with it...
Yup, I`m thining of the trophy collecting too... Because then you can start thinking about adding on to the house, so you can store your trophies like Parts 4 me... That is just part of it, I reckon, 66
Once I mentioned a stripe stencil kit to Paul (shop owner) and Jeff (painter), I could see those guys thinking off in wonderland. Hence, I told them to surprise me so long as it was something orange. I must say I was stunned when I saw it. Pearlescent burnt orange and clear coat. Walking around the truck in full sunlight, the color changes from gold to orange to black.
When is the Southern Wheels `N Motion carshow ~ June 15??? I just know you`ll enter this time won`t ya Clark??? We aughtta see howmany RancheroUSA members trucks we can gather & enter for this annual RancheroUSA gathering...
I'll plan on it Dennis. 'Course I haven't the foggiest idea of how to enter that car show - or any for that matter. 'Suppose Hillbilly can give me some pointers.
With your Ranchero You should win several awards at shows! It`s simple, pull up, Go register, (Ann will get the photograph)... Just pay your $25 and pick your class, Petey or Dana will know which class you should enter... IF you let me know ahead of time on where you`re showing this beauty, I`ll come gawk at it
Uh, $20 for the first car entered, $10 each for any other cars in your name. Just pull in to the entry lanes off Decherd St. and someone at the tables under the popups will walk you thru the entry process and direct you to where to park. Little things - - Vacume the insides, have your windows clean, bring a bucket with some basic cleaning tools so you can get rid of the bugs you'll gather getting here, knock the pollen off right at noon before the judges come around. We do use AACA rules but we allow the driver's side glass to be rolled down. Have it as sanitary as you can underhood. Try to be close by when the judges show up, the one looking at your interior may ask you to open the door for a better look. We do not touch your car. We really don't talk to the car owners unless they ask us something. Usually five guys, may be a gal or two, one carrying a clipboard and all having something that says Southern Wheels on it. You have more than three modifications from original so that will put you into a "modified" class. In the past so few Rancheros entered, the club tossed them in with modified trucks. Haven't had a true original entered. If I knew three or more Rancheros would be entered I'd petition the club to have a separate class just for them. Bring your favorite lawn chair.
Really nice. "Customized" without looking over the top The fuel door is really trick. Ford could have done this since they probably had everthing they needed in the parts bin. With all the great paint work, how about the engine and engine compartment? Is it stock or did you trick it our without looking like it.
