Since I had the camera out, I thought it would be interesting to post pics of your tool boxes and cars they have worked on. I inherited mine was bought by late Father in 1965 for his sons to work on the second had cars he could afford to buy. And in its lifetime, this tool box has worked on station wagaons, pick ups, family cars and race cars.
I have that same toolbox!! It was a birthday gift from my father when I was 15 (1964). It came with a 'complete' set of Craftsman tools(which I still have most of). My first car was a 1956 Triumph TR 3. The toolbox never left the boot(trunk) as that car needed help all the time.
Went to school with Mike Iskandarian at Crozier Jr High in Inglewood Ca. Nice guy, but in 7th grade not much to talk about except for girls or the hang out before the bell rang.
I think most of us might have started out with this Sears tool box. Saturday morning sale for about 30 bucks or so. Still have mine.
I have a black plastic Craftsman box that's long, narrow width, and flat. I just need to load it with basic tools and put it in.
