of course you would seek the path of least resistance and seek to pay the least amount in taxes. you are looking out for your best interest personally as well as professionally. ridiculous CEO bonuses may seem like selfishness, but they have to perform for wanted results for shareholders.
if they fail, they get fired in most cases. you would negotiate a deal too if you had expertise in managing a large business. nobody told you that you couldnt be a CEO.

You don't think they are being just a little bit selfish and greedy?

they probably are, but even a rich a-hole spends money and invests it and spreads it around. even if they gamble it in vegas, they are creating jobs.

It is a fact of life that a poor person cannot hire you.
Everyone who wants a job has a person that created wealth to credit for the job they get.
Those who either lack the will, discipline, or mental acuity to create wealth suffer from the need to arrange a way to survive with one who has those attributes.
Calling those people whom one is dependent upon greedy is ingratitude of a high order.
There are places where there are no rich as everyone is poor. There are also places where attacking the rich has become a national pastime, and everyone is heading into poverty as a result. Venezuela is the current country engaging in such sport, though hundreds have done it with the same result in the past.

Bernie Sanders is the front leader of that folly here in the US.
Note that he decries money in politics, except when it comes to the billions and of dollars he and his ilk use to buy votes with programs for his constituents.

I'd have at least three well-paid guys, or gals, cleaning and polishing my collection of hot rods.

    you know,
i was thinking about your statement about CEO's being "a bit greedy" and i realized that i, as well as yourself would not sell ourselves short and would negotiate the best salary/pay we could based on our skills, experience and what the market will pay. is that greed? look at your first job. didnt you want to be better? CEO's do. put a price tag on determination.

I have to agree that a good many CEOs are TOO GREEDY. Of course there are those who will say they have the right to what they can get. Problem is they and their board of directors set their OWN salaries. We may work hard and expect more but
generally we don't get the outrageous incomes these people get. Not many of us can resign from our jobs and get a $5,000,000.00 dollar pay out, (which one of my recent CEOs got), he decided to leave OHIO where the corporate office was and move back to California, because his teenage daughter missed her California friends. In his letter of resignation, he states that to keep the family together, he felt he had to resign his position. Meantime, in the last 16 months this same company had to cut staff to be more profitable. They fired a 65 year old file clerk, making $10.00/hour, working part-time, in order make us more efficient. They brought out spread sheets to show us that we"overstaffed", and have cut more staff. Why is it that we can afford to pay these individuals Millions of dollars, but we can't afford to pay the people who actually do the work? I do believe in the "free enterprise system", but it seems to be a bit TOO TOP HEAVY presently. The minions deserve a little bit more, and they obviously could do with a little less.

Like Korea - Oh, wait! Truman was a democrat...
Like Vietnam - Oh, wait! Kennedy/Johnson were democrats...
Like the "Great Society" - Oh, wait! Johnson was a democrat...
...and we could go on, and on, and on...

Simply put, we the people would be a lot better off without you.

Your little slogan is nothing but divisive stupidity.

Thanks for the obamaphone video, Rancherrob. Cracked me up. There'll be pie in the sky for you and I bye and bye.

72GTVA, actually that schtick about Democrats cleaning up Republican messes since 1933 is just a bumpersticker I saw yesterday that made me laugh. A sense of humor makes politics tolerable.

Actually, I'm not a Democrat, I'm an independent and so far nobody running for prez has my vote. After the Revolution and I'm in charge, we'll have no more of these messy elections.

What it means, Rancherrob, is that Bernie Sanders is a socialist with a little "s", not ascribing to the nonsense of the Socialist Party USA, but ascribing to the socialist principle of the people controlling the means of production, a principle that the Democrats consider and that causes Republicans to gag.

Myself, I'd be a communist if I trusted the government, an anarchist if I trusted the masses, a capitalist if I trusted business, and a socialist if I thought the government could run businesses when it can't seem to even run a fever. So I'm an independent looking forward to when I will be Benevolent Overlord.
