Worth mentioning again, for Saff and anybody else -- go to www.google.com, then click on Images near the upper right screen, and then you can put any car you ever heard of into the search box, and bet that a bunch of people have already posted pictures of their ride.

If you look closely, you can see part of the script on the back quarter, looks like "bel", so yeah I think its a Bel-Air.

Soooo - - Somebody has to come by and mess up everyone's history lesson. Never fails. How about a 58 Chevy that isn't supposed to be ? 1958 ElCamino 1.jpg

Compare the Impala (post #6) to the Bel Air (post #8) - in 1958 only the Impala had three tail lights per side.

Your Dad does good work. Doing that to a 56 wagon would really shake some people up.

58 Biscayne wagon is the basis. And a lot of English Wheel work by Terry Steagall and Dad to get it done. Terry is a retired GM styling fabricator and a metal bending genius. Once witnessed him build a 59 Impala rear quarter from scratch in the time it took to bead blast an entire 57 Chevy. Dad is retired Ford. Google search Steve Honnell or Terry Steagall because it would be like writing a novel and waste too much data on this site. I could see telling everyone a 56 was from OZ cause there really was a 56 Ford Ranchero, called them Utes down under. Didn't think about photos back then, too busy building the next project. Last pic I have of the 58. 1958 ElCamino 2.jpg
