My Tailgate Handle just broke on my 1969... must have had a hairline crack I didn't see... Appreciate if anyone has an extra - or, knows where one can be had... Thanks!
Hey Davis - good to hear from you... Yep - that's my understanding as well. Have been looking for weeks/months - unfortunately, just have not seen one pop up on Ebay and/or all of the Ford parts places i know (including a a few salvage yards) just can't be found. Dearborn Classics/MAC's might have something - but most of the product I've purchased from them has been marginal at best... So, the search is still in progress... Any suggestions?
maybe Hemmings motor news or a call out to desert valley auto parts in AZ. Hilltop Classics in Escondido maybe. the owner passed away like a year ago, not sure they are still in business. he was a fairlane enthusiast and lots of original ford parts. there is a falcon guy in central cali area too. i dont remember the name. i'd have to look in my giant stack of biz cards.
Was actually at Hilltop Classics two weeks ago. (On the same street as C&G Ford Parts...) Vicki (who was married to Jerry, who passed, ) is doing her best to keep things running. Fun old shop - they have stuff everywhere... I actually purchased two (2) pot metal chrome bed trim pieces... Mine are pitted pretty bad and local plating shops basically told me it would be ~$400/ea and there would still be visible marks... One of the shops didn't want to even to touch them... I just found a 1970 handle on EBay - snatched it up ($50 including shipping...) Its going to be better than what i have (no cracks or dents... ). Will just have to see... Thanks for the help!
i found some from Macs auto parts on epay. like $77-130. stick with original when you can. good to hear hilltop is still there. he was good people.

Just Scored a NOS Tailgate handle set in the box.. Good to know the aftermarket handles are available though..
