71 Digital dash conversion

Ok
What is it and where do I get it?
If it is thin enough I would consider it.
Would order some and see what it looks like.

I'm too cheap too. And I usually don't notice the pics are blurry until they are posted.
I thought red because it would match the readouts. Plus, red.

 

I didn't think about matching the readout's. I wanted blue leds but they don't have them for the Ford.
The reason the picture was blurry was I was holding the 2 wires for the LED's together with one hand trying to hold the camera steady with the other hand while taking the picture.
You can see how successful I was.

I did a similar conversion on my 71, can’t get the gas gauge to work to save my life, what wire did you use to get it to work? Or if anyone has any advice it’s appreciated

 

The factory test is to turn ignition on (with the coil power disconnected), then ground the gauge sender wire at the gas tank mounting. If the needle goes full deflection, the gauge and sender wire is good, your problem is at the tank. If no deflection or only partial, your gauge or sender wire has a problem. At the tank, some ground the rheostat directly through the tank and mounts, others are two-wire, and the ground wire's attached to the frame.

 

Another thing is that the unit is programmable so you will have to ohm out your sender and then program the unit for your sender.
If that isn't it then I would check my sender to make sure it is good.
Being as old as these are it isn't uncommon for the sender or the sender wire to be bad and like handy-andy said check your ground wire while you are in there. Bad grounds can cause a lot of problem's.
