Them being prototypes is probly why I don`t remember seeing these critters... Of course it could be my CRS, too... because, I had fergot about the (60-64) Ranchero truck my dad had as a service truck, until looking through some old family photos this past weekend... These AMC trucks struck a memory too though... I once owned a Ford Courior back in the day... I never did like the looks of it, but it worked a paper route really well... Thanks D.B.
Anybody else recognize the '66 F100 bed on the Hornet? AMC got a lot of model years out of those 2 bodies, into the 80s as I remember. Some had 4-wheel drive, too. An AMX/Javelin-based pickup might have been a better idea.JD
thats not the worst looking iteration of a 'chero like vehicle i've ever seen. For once at least they would have had a decent name.. .AMC "Cowboy" might have taken off... as opposed to the "Hornet" "Gremlin" "Pacer" "Matador" and all the other gosh awful names
