Does anyone have any idea how many 1971 Red Ranchero GT 429 Cobra jet with shaker were produced. My dad is restoring one and asked me to find out for him. Thanks for the help.

To get authoritative numbers contact these folks. http://www.martiauto.com/

Might be neat gift for your dad to get him a report, deluxe or elite.

Unless someone here has a red 71 GT with a 429 and purchased at least a deluxe report I don't think anyone here has the answer to that detailed a question.

It's rare enough to restore correctly, and the scoop is a '70-'71 ONLY item. There were more Cleveland shakers than 429s, and 4-speeds were the rarest. You should have a more definitive answer from here by the weekend. I think one of Clark's customers in TN has one :cool:JD

    Thanks

    Hey guys,

Thanks to both of you for your help. We realized that this particular Ranchero was very rare, but my dad asked if I could use the internet to find out how rare. He is a Ford enthusiast with quite a collection of cars, and hopes to restore this one. :)
