I need to replace my gas tank but can't get the hose from the fill pipe to the tank off. Its a pretty new hose and it's in perfect shape so I don't really want to slit it or cut it or otherwise damage it unless there is no other way to get it off. I know they aren't that expensive but if I can save $50 then yea me. Does anyone have any insight into how I could get this off? Thanks so much for any suggestions.

I feel your pain, and, saving $ is a good idea...I have used a large flat blade screw driver and just slowly worked around it until it came loose. If you don't have enough room for the handle try using the tool for drum brake adjustment...

Spray some PB Blaster or WD-40 at the end and let it soak its way in while you work a tool around the neck. The thinner the tool the better because fuel filler hose does not have much "give".
