Man, so true! There is nothing like a dirt bike! Blasting up and down hills, tearing through the woods, jumping streams. Too hard on my back though. But you go boy! Ya'all done good.
Yeah, that`s what you think!!! (Misconstrued again!) My purpose would be entirely different from yours sean, I would like a small dirt bike to teach the youngsters to ride... I`m passed my tearing through the woods days, IF I rode it would used by me fer checking the mail on those days I can`t do my theraputic walk to the mailbox 1/4 mile down the driveway... Think what you wish, Dennis
Thought I might show my little project bike. It's an '79 CB400 a little bike I use to get around town here in Seattle. The pic is right after I re-painted it and have since removed the awful conical baffles and put straight pipes because because I'm cool like that.
Thanx Its a 99 Valkyrie, Curb Wt. 829 lbs 1520 cc Flat Six 100 HP 105 foot pounds a torque Been from Key West to L.A. & never let me down [/IMG]
The "Blower" makes it more fun, but I always wondered if it was really $ 5 000.00 worth Ya kin have a lotta fun without one. [/IMG]
My brother and I would cruise down the highway He on the 4 cylinder SS 400 and me on my 750-4 both with 4 into 1 open headers, MAN That was music to my ears... I like your "little project Bike"... You GO Boy!!!
Nice bikes all of them. I'll have to see about getting a picture that's small enough to post of mine.
I want to change the pipes and move the license plate. Looks like the bike has an "Alfalfa". I was able to take her on a 300 mile round trip to the Shiloh Battle Field and not be in pain. I was stiff, but that's to be expected.
Great Bike !! LUV that Bike Just sold my Valkyrie & think I am gonna replace it with one a them beauty's. Hope its got enough torque for ya ! LOL
Ha Ha Its a big'n alright 3 cylinders 2300 cc's 146 Hp & a whompin 163 Ft Lbs of Torque ! I imagine slappin that throttle has to have a "pucker factor" of about a plus 12 on a scale of 1 to 10 LOL
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to say the horse power and torque of my bike in the owner's manual. I guess I'll have to see about getting it on a dyno one day.
