1975 GT-245/60/14 all the way around. 14x7 wheels.

Edit: Now 275/60/15 BFG drag radials on the rear 15x8 wheel, unknown backspacing...

'71 ... have 14x7 wheels front/back, 3.5" backspace. Running 235-60 in the back, and 215-60 front. BFG Radial T/A, on old-school slot mags.

Bought at separate times, else they'd all be the same size. FWIW, neither front nor rear would even come close to fitting into the cubby where that original 14"F7 tire lived.

The sidewalls at the back clear the outer fender lip at the top by about 5/8", as close as I'd care to go. There is a lot of extra space on the inside, though, so with the right wheels you could put in a much larger tire.

I'll just add a note about a way to judge the space on your car; remove a rear wheel and set the axle on a jackstand so it's at normal ride height. Then you can use something like a carpenter's framing square held against the drum's mounting face, by rotating it around you can see how much space you have to play with.

I went with a more original size in keeping with the semi-stock look.

72 with 275/60-15 in the rear. Rim is 8.5 with 3.5 back spacing. No fitment issues at all. Front is 235/60-15 with 7" rim. Not sure of the back spacing but the tire/wire looks little bit small for my taste.

Nice site Huevos. I had been looking around the world wide web and it was hard to even find a site that recognizes old cars like ours exist. I guess I hadn't reached the end of the internet like the wife believes!:)

I like this site, I think it will be a great time saver, as long as you have the info of the b4 and after wheels. thanks.

Mustang 07 wheels, are going 315 in the rear have them just not mounted yet. Should be accurate space there, trying the 275's in the front but think it's to big

When I looked for 85 profile radials for my '61, they were scarce as hen's teeth. So i bought some 14 x 5 wheels for a '66 Mustang, and put wide-white 185/75R14's on them. Exact match in diameter for the 650-13's it came with.

Yes diggette, I'll put my 144 against your 170.

I sure would like to see the 315 on the rear. That would be awesome.
