This is a question that comes up quite often.

Due to RancheroUS picture size limitations many members opt to host the pictures of their rides using web hosting services such as Supermotors, photobucket, or others. The use of these sites permits members to post larger pictures on the site than the site can handle using the site's embedded capabilities.

Once a hosting service has been selected and photos have been uploaded it is a relatively simple process to copy and paste a link that will have your photo(s) shown on the site.

Using Supermotors as an example, select the uploaded photo that you wish view, note the "Img" link in the box at left highlighted in the red bordered box. Click on and copy the link:

Then paste the link you copied into your post where you want the picture to appear:

Once you have pasted in the link and clicked on "Submit New Post/Thread", this is what you will see:

I'll stick this for the time being and leave it open for those that want to add their "simpler" ways of doing this.

When I do just like you explained, and I upload the photo from supermotors, I get a message that it's an invalid file. I always have to post the little thumbnails instead of full size pics. What's up?

Flickr.com is my main squeeze when it comes to hosting pictures. I do a good bit of graphics.

You can use Facebook account pics also, A lot of people already use it so its easy to copy the image location and post it.

Photobucket works good too.. Just click the pic and choose the code you want to use from the drop down list ...

I agree that photobucket is the easiest way to do it.

Provided the size isn't too large you can post direct from the site now. If your picture is too large, you can use your camera software to resize the picture or load the picture in MS PowerPoint or other application and then save it again after resizing it:

    Here are the steps:
