Hi: Getting ready to cut the front coil springs on my '70. I want to drop the body 2". Has anyone figured out how much to cut off the spring to get the 2" drop? Is the amount of body drop equal to the amount of spring removal?
    Thanks.

highly variable..wouldnt recommend going more than 1/2 a coil at a time until desired height is arrived at.

I cut one ring off and it dropped it about 2 1/2 inches with 302 springs and 302 motor w/ wagon top welded on. I'm running 18" wheels also. I have not had a problem ( Knock on wood) with the spring on the spring perch. You might want to weld a little tab on the spring perch It barely catches the tab.
