r&r heater fan motor

    my heater motor is not turning like it should...very little air. plus makes noise. anyone replaced theirs? need help with the dos and donts in removing the housing/motor.
    '78 ranchero 500 with a/c.

    changed mine one thing there is one bolt under the hood that needs to come out. on my 77 it was the bolt on the top of the heater box that looked like a bolt with a stud on the end. also removed the dash top and the glove box liner one other tip either take the bulb out of the little under dash light or remove it . that little bas- gets hot!!!!!! there may be a better way but thats how I did mine TOM

    Make sure the cowl vent is not clogged before you go taking out the motor.
    You would be amazed at the amount of leaves and other debris that can pile up in there.
